- Turning is a combination of two movements. Rotation of the workpiece and advance motion of the tool. The feed motion of the tool can be along the axis of the workpiece, which means that the diameter of the part will be reduced to a smaller size.
Internal Diameter Turning
It is the process of enlarging the inside diameter of the hole along the axis of the workpiece and giving the desired shape with the rotation of the workpiece and the advancement movement of the tool.
External Diameter Turning
With the rotation of the workpiece and the advance movement of the tool, the chip removal from the diameter and the face along the part axis is the process of lowering the part to a smaller diameter and length.
